2021 Vaccination & Testing Requirements

For large events of 1,000 or more individuals:

Effective November 15, 2021 per state order, all guests 12 years of age and older must show proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 OR proof of a negative FDA-approved molecular (e.g., PCR) or antigen COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the event.

Acceptable Proof of Full Vaccination Against COVID-19*:

Guests must provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 by presenting the original, a copy, or a photo of one of the following:

  • A CDC COVID-19 Vaccine Record Card;

  • Documentation of vaccination from a health care provider or electronic health record;

  • A state immunization information system record. For individuals vaccinated in Washington, this may include a Certificate of COVID-19 Vaccination or QR code from MyIRMobile (https://myirmobile.com), a Washington Department of Health partner website for immunization records; or

  • For an individual who was vaccinated outside of the United States, a reasonable equivalent of any of the above.

*Fully Vaccinated against COVID-19: A person is fully vaccinated against COVID-19 two weeks after they have received the second dose in a two-dose series of a COVID-19 vaccine (e.g., Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna) or a single-dose COVID-19 vaccine (e.g., Johnson & Johnson (J&J)/Janssen) authorized for emergency use, licensed, or otherwise approved by the FDA or listed for emergency use or otherwise approved by the World Health Organization.

Acceptable Proof of a Negative COVID-19 Test Result:

Guests must present the original, a copy, or a photo of a document or other communication from the test provider or laboratory that shows:

  • The first and last names of the individual tested;

  • The type of test performed (must be molecular or antigen);

  • The date the specimen was collected (must be within the 72 hours preceding the event); and

  • A negative result.

The Convention Center Event Staff, Security & Volunteers will be vigilant about monitoring and reminding people to keep their masks on at all times during the weekend. We will also have masks on hand if anyone needs one while supplies last. We don’t want to be put in a position to have to throw down any ultimatums so please simply wear your mask. I think we can all agree nobody likes wearing a mask but it’s a small sacrifice to make if that’s what it takes for us to still be able to still have our event as close to “normal” as possible.

New Mask Mandate Signs will be posted throughout the building and will be checked upon entry by Security as regular attendees also have to pass through metal detectors & bag check.

Signs for Maintaining Social Distancing (recommended) are already posted throughout the facility and multiple hand sanitizers will be distributed throughout the facility for public use.

Important Safety Reminders:

  • If you are sick or feeling sick we ask you do not attend.

  • If you have to sneeze or cough please still do so into your sleeve even with a mask on.

  • If you are Cosplaying you still need to wear a mask as either a part of your Cosplay or under your Cosplay mask.

  • Please wash and or sanitize your hands after using any facilities, eating or touching your face.

  • Please ask permission before handling any merchandise at tables out of respect for each vendor.

We have met with Spokane Regional Health District and we are incompliance with current guidelines.

Because we host our event inside a County Facility we must & will follow WA State & Spokane County Health Guidelines & Requirements to be able to hold our event.

In the meantime we strongly recommend for everyone to get vaccinated not only for yourselves but for everyone who is not vaccinated.
